Third Person Pov-

Morning sunlight streamed through the tall glass windows of Kapoor Enterprises, lighting up the spacious office on the top floor.

Rajiv Kapoor stood near the large desk, staring at the financial charts displayed on the tablet in his hand.

His brows were slightly furrowed.

The numbers weren't good.

In the last twenty-four hours, Kapoor Enterprises had lost a significant percentage of its share value in the stock market.

Not enough to destroy the company...

But enough to create concern.

Rajiv had spent decades building Kapoor Enterprises into one of the most respected companies in the country. A sudden market disturbance like this was unusual.

Very unusual.

The office door opened suddenly.

An assistant hurried inside.

"Sir, investors are requesting urgent updates about the stock fluctuations."

Rajiv sighed quietly.

"Tell them the company is stable. There's no reason to panic."

The assistant nodded quickly and left.

Rajiv placed the tablet down on the desk.

Something about this situation felt strange.

Market shifts happened all the time.

But this... felt calculated.

Before he could think further, the intercom buzzed.

His secretary's voice came through.

"Sir, Mr. Reyansh Singhania is here to see you."

Rajiv paused.

Reyansh Singhania.

The name carried immense influence in the business world.

CEO of Singhania Group of Industries.

Young, powerful, and known for his brilliant strategies.

Rajiv had met him only a few times during corporate events.

But even in those brief meetings, Reyansh had left a strong impression.

Calm.

Intelligent.

Sharp.

Rajiv straightened slightly.

"Send him in."

A moment later, the office door opened.

Reyansh Singhania walked in.

Dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit, he carried himself with quiet confidence.

His presence alone seemed to shift the atmosphere of the room.

His dark eyes scanned the office briefly before settling on Rajiv.

"Mr. Kapoor," Reyansh said politely.

Rajiv stepped forward and offered a handshake.

"Mr. Singhania. What a pleasant surprise."

Reyansh shook his hand firmly.

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything important."

Rajiv gestured toward the seating area.

"Not at all. Please, sit."

Both men sat across from each other.

For a moment, silence filled the room.

Then Reyansh spoke calmly.

"I assume you've seen the market situation today."

Rajiv leaned back slightly.

"Yes."

He gave a faint smile.

"Though I didn't expect you to be concerned about Kapoor Enterprises."

Reyansh's expression remained neutral.

"In business, sudden market instability affects everyone."

Rajiv nodded thoughtfully.

"That's true."

Reyansh leaned forward slightly, resting his hands on the table.

"I came here because I believe I can help."

Rajiv raised an eyebrow.

"Help?"

Reyansh continued in a calm, measured tone.

"Kapoor Enterprises is currently experiencing investor panic.

Once that begins, the stock market can become... unpredictable."

Rajiv listened quietly.

Reyansh continued.

"But with the right financial support, the situation can stabilize very quickly."

Rajiv studied him for a moment.

"And you're offering that support?"

Reyansh nodded slightly.

"The Singhania Group has the resources to invest enough capital to stabilize your shares and restore investor confidence."

Rajiv looked genuinely surprised.

"That's a very generous offer."

Reyansh gave a small, polite smile.

"I believe strong companies should support each other during difficult situations."

Rajiv folded his hands thoughtfully.

"And what exactly would you want in return?"

Reyansh didn't answer immediately.

Instead, he leaned back in his chair.

"I believe business alliances are the strongest when they extend beyond contracts."

Rajiv waited.

Reyansh's voice remained calm.

"Family alliances tend to create stronger partnerships."

Rajiv understood where the conversation was heading.

"A marriage alliance?" he asked slowly.

Reyansh nodded.

"Yes."

Rajiv considered the idea.

In the business world, marriages between influential families weren't unusual.

In fact, they often strengthened corporate relationships.

Rajiv spoke thoughtfully.

"And whose marriage are you proposing?"

Reyansh looked directly at him.

"Your daughter."

Rajiv blinked in surprise.

"Mayra?"

Reyansh nodded once.

"Yes."

The room fell silent for a few seconds.

Rajiv hadn't expected that.

He knew about Reyansh's reputation.

Young.

Successful.

Influential.

Many business families would consider it an honour to have a relationship with the Singhania family.

Rajiv spoke slowly.

"I must admit, I didn't expect that."

Reyansh's tone remained respectful.

"I understand this is sudden."

Rajiv leaned back in his chair.

"But why my daughter?"

Reyansh answered without hesitation.

"I've heard a lot about her."

Rajiv frowned slightly.

"Heard?"

Reyansh continued calmly.

"Her intelligence. Her education. Her character."

Rajiv seemed mildly impressed.

"She is studying psychology at Delhi University."

"Yes," Reyansh replied.

Rajiv remained silent for a moment.

Then he asked carefully.

"And the investment?"

Reyansh's voice stayed steady.

"I will invest enough capital to stabilize Kapoor Enterprises and recover the market losses."

Rajiv nodded slowly.

"And this would become a long-term business partnership."

Reyansh gave a slight smile.

"That would be ideal."

Rajiv stood up and walked toward the window, looking out at the city.

This proposal solved multiple problems at once.

Kapoor Enterprises would recover.

The company would gain a powerful partner.

And Mayra's future would be secure with one of the most successful businessmen in the country.

From a business perspective...

It was a very strong alliance.

Rajiv turned back toward Reyansh.

"You understand that my daughter's opinion will matter in this."

"Of course," Reyansh replied smoothly.

Rajiv nodded.

"I will speak with my family."

Reyansh stood up calmly.

"Take your time."

Rajiv extended his hand again.

"Thank you for coming personally."

Reyansh shook his hand.

"It's my pleasure."

As Reyansh walked toward the office door, Rajiv spoke again.

"Mr. Singhania."

Reyansh paused.

"Yes?"

Rajiv smiled slightly.

"This could become a very strong partnership."

Reyansh returned the smile.

"I agree."

He then walked out of the office.

The moment the door closed behind him, Reyansh's polite expression slowly disappeared.

His face turned completely cold.

Karan stood near the elevator waiting.

"Well?" Karan asked quietly.

Reyansh adjusted his cufflinks.

"He agreed to consider the proposal."

Karan exhaled slowly.

boss that was easier than expected.

Reyansh's voice remained calm.

"People rarely question opportunities that benefit them."

The elevator doors opened.

Both men stepped inside.

As the elevator began descending, Karan glanced at him.

"And the next step boss?"

Reyansh looked straight ahead.

"Preparation."

"For the wedding?"

A faint smile appeared on Reyansh's lips.

"Yes."

His eyes darkened slightly.

"Rajiv Kapoor believes this is a business alliance."

The elevator reached the ground floor.

The doors opened.

Reyansh stepped out.

"But this isn't an alliance."

He walked toward the exit of the building.

Karan followed silently.

Outside, the city traffic moved as usual.

Cars passed.

People hurried along the sidewalks.

Life continued normally.

But somewhere across the city, Mayra Kapoor sat inside her room reading a psychology book, completely unaware of the decision being discussed about her future.

Reyansh stopped beside his car.

Before entering, he looked back at the towering building of Kapoor Enterprises.

His voice was almost a whisper.

"This is just the beginning."

The car door closed.

And the game moved one step closer to its next move.

Evening had settled over the Kapoor residence, painting the sky outside in shades of orange and gold.

Inside the mansion, the atmosphere was calm.

The dining table was set neatly, with soft lighting from the chandelier casting a warm glow across the room.

Mayra sat quietly in her usual seat, absentmindedly flipping through the pages of a psychology book she had brought downstairs.

Across from her, Ananya  arranged the dishes on the table.

"Mayra," she said gently, "put the book away for a while.

You can read later."

Mayra smiled faintly and closed the book.

Yes, maa.

A moment later, Arjun walked into the dining room, loosening the tie around his neck.

He looked tired but alert, as if his mind was still occupied with business matters.

"Long day?" Ananya asked.

Arjun sighed as he sat down.

"You have no idea maa."

He glanced at Mayra and smirked slightly.

"And you're still reading psychology books , I see mayra."

Mayra rolled her eyes softly.

"It's called studying bhai ."

"Right," Arjun chuckled. "Studying how to read people's minds."

Before Mayra could respond, footsteps echoed from the hallway.

her father entered the dining room.

Everyone immediately noticed the serious expression on his face.

her mother frowned slightly.

"Rajiv? Is everything alright?"

Rajiv didn't answer immediately.

He walked slowly toward the table and took his seat.

For a moment, the room fell silent.

Mayra noticed the tension instantly.

"Papa?" she asked softly.

Rajiv looked at his daughter.

Then he exhaled slowly.

"I had a meeting today," he said.

Arjun leaned back in his chair.

"With who?"

Rajiv's voice remained calm.

"Reyansh Singhania."

Arjun's expression changed immediately.

"Reyansh Singhania?" he repeated.

Mayra looked between them, confused.

"Who?"

Arjun let out a small laugh.

"Only one of the most powerful businessmen in the country."

Ananya looked surprised as well.

Why would he want to meet you papa?

Rajiv folded his hands on the table.

"Because of the situation in the market."

Arjun's expression hardened.

"You mean the sudden stock drop."

Rajiv nodded.

"He offered to help stabilize Kapoor Enterprises."

Arjun frowned.

"Why?"

Rajiv answered simply.

"He wants a business alliance."

Arjun crossed his arms.

"What kind of alliance?"

Rajiv looked toward Mayra.

The silence that followed felt heavy.

Then he spoke the words calmly.

"A marriage alliance."

The room froze.

Mayra blinked.

"Marriage...?"

Arjun leaned forward slightly.

"With who?"

Rajiv's gaze remained on his daughter.

"With Mayra."

The words hung in the air.

For a few seconds, no one spoke.

Mayra stared at her father, trying to process what she had just heard.

"Me...?" she whispered.

Rajiv nodded slowly.

"Yes."

Arjun suddenly stood up from his chair.

"You're serious papa?"

Rajiv remained calm.

"Yes."

Arjun ran a hand through his hair in disbelief.

"You can't be serious."

Mayra felt her heart begin to beat faster.

"Papa... I don't even know him."

Rajiv's voice softened.

"I understand this is sudden."

Mayra shook her head slightly.

"Sudden?"

Her voice trembled with confusion.

"You're talking about marriage."

Ananya placed a gentle hand on Mayra's shoulder.

"Listen to your father first."

Rajiv spoke carefully.

"Reyansh Singhania is one of the most successful businessmen in the country."

Arjun scoffed.

"That doesn't mean he should marry my sister."

Rajiv ignored the comment.

"He offered financial support to stabilize Kapoor Enterprises."

Arjun's eyes narrowed.

"And in return he wants Mayra."

Rajiv looked at him.

"Marriage alliances between business families are not unusual."

Arjun shook his head.

"This doesn't feel normal."

Rajiv's tone remained steady.

"He is from a respected family."

Arjun let out a dry laugh.

"You clearly don't know much about him."

Rajiv frowned slightly.

"What do you mean?"

Arjun hesitated.

"Nothing."

Mayra sat quietly, trying to process everything.

Her mind felt overwhelmed.

Marriage.

To someone she had never even spoken to.

"Papa," she said softly.

Rajiv looked at her.

"I don't understand," Mayra continued.

"Why would he want to marry me?"

Rajiv answered calmly.

"He said he has heard about you."

Mayra looked confused.

"Heard about me?"

Rajiv nodded.

"Your education. Your character."

Arjun muttered under his breath.

"That sounds suspicious."

Rajiv glanced at him.

"Enough Arjun."

The room fell silent again.

Mayra lowered her eyes slightly.

She had never imagined her life taking such a sudden turn.

Her voice was barely above a whisper.

"Do I... have a choice papa?"

Rajiv looked at her carefully.

"Of course you do."

her mother squeezed her hand gently.

"We would never force you into something you don't want."

Mayra nodded slowly.

But the confusion in her eyes remained.

After a moment, Rajiv spoke again.

"There's one more thing."

Everyone looked at him.

"He wants to meet you tomorrow."

Mayra looked up instantly.

"Tomorrow?"

Rajiv nodded.

"Yes."

Arjun immediately objected.

"That's too fast."

Rajiv replied calmly.

"It's only a meeting Arjun."

Mayra felt her stomach tighten slightly.

She had never even seen this man before.

And now she was supposed to meet him as a potential husband.

The thought felt unreal.

Ananya spoke gently.

"Meeting him doesn't mean you have to say yes."

Mayra nodded slowly.

But her mind was racing with questions.

Who was Reyansh Singhania?

Why did he want to marry her?

And why did everything feel so sudden?

Arjun leaned toward Rajiv again.

papa i still don't trust this.

Rajiv looked at him firmly.

"This is a business decision Arjun."

Arjun replied quietly.

"And Mayra is not a business decision papa."

The tension in the room grew thicker.

Rajiv finally stood up.

"We will discuss this further tomorrow."

He looked at Mayra again.

"For now, just meet him beta."

Mayra nodded silently.

Dinner continued, but the earlier warmth in the room had completely disappeared.

Everyone seemed lost in their own thoughts.

Later that night, Mayra sat alone in her room.

The house was quiet.

Her psychology book lay open on the desk, but she wasn't reading.

Her mind kept replaying the conversation from dinner.

Marriage.

To a stranger.

She walked toward the window and looked out at the city lights.

Somewhere out there...

Reyansh Singhania existed.

A man she had never met.

A man who suddenly wanted to marry her.

The thought felt strange.

Unsettling.

Meanwhile, across the city, inside the luxurious Singhania mansion...

Reyansh stood near the large balcony overlooking the night skyline.

Karan approached quietly.

boss.

Reyansh didn't turn.

"Yes karan?"

"Kapoor family knows about the proposal."

Reyansh nodded slightly.

"And?"

"They agreed to the meeting."

A faint smile appeared on Reyansh's lips.

"Good."

Karan hesitated.

"You'll meet her tomorrow."

Reyansh's gaze remained fixed on the city.

"Yes."

His voice turned colder.

"Let's see if Rajiv Kapoor still feels confident..."

He finally turned around.

"...after his daughter becomes my wife."

The night wind moved through the balcony.

And somewhere in the same city...

Mayra unknowingly prepared to meet the man who had already planned to destroy her world.

To Be Continued....
